1073 – Mizpah


Biblical Mizpah, capital of Judah during the Babylonian exile period, was located just north of Jerusalem. Archaeologist Jeffrey Zorn says it’s probably identified with Tell en-Nasbeh, located between Jerusalem and Ramallah. The site was excavated early in the 20th century and re-studied by Zorn as part of his PhD work.
