This week’s program is based on an article in the November issue of Christianity Today. The article, by yours truly, reports on some recent Biblical Archaeology discoveries, but also delves into a problem with archaeology in Turkey.

The problem is the difficulty that many outside archaeologists have in getting access to work in Turkey. Turkish officials have even pulled permits from three European excavators and given the permits to Turkish archaeologists.

So read the article, and get a little more background by listening to the program, as professor Schoville and I discuss it. And let us know what you think in the comments section below. We always enjoy hearing from our listeners.

Also, in case you missed the 3-part series we did on Biblical Turkey with Mark Wilson, they have been temporarily reposted on The Book & The Spade website.
